Instructions For Making Men’s Crochet Scarf:

The pattern is so lovely and is easy to do! It is suited for beginners because the entire pattern is made with just single crochet and double crochet stitches. In this tutorial, you will learn how to do a front post double crochet. This is actually a unisex scarf and would be lovely for both men and women.

Start:(6 mm) hook, chain 223.

For Row 1 (only), work into the back loops.

Row 1 (RS): Use a 6mm hook for the entire row. In the third ch from hook, hdc. In each ch across, hdc. (221 sts – reminder: chains never count as sts).

Row 2 (WS): Switch to K/10.5 hook and use this size for the entire row. Ch 1 and turn. Sl st VERY loosely into the back loop only (the loop furthest away from you) of each st across. (221 sts)

Row 3 (RS): Switch to I/9 hook and use this size for the entire row. Ch 1 and turn. Hdc (normally into the top two loops of the slip stitches from the previous row) in each st across. (221 sts).

Row 4 and on: Repeat Rows 2 and 3 consecutively until your work measures approx. 6” high (approx. 19 rows) or your desired height (height = width of scarf). End after completing Row 3. Fasten off and weave in loose ends.

Add Tassels:

You will attach tassels to the left and right sides with the RS of the scarf facing up. Place one tassel in the middle of each hdc row.

You will need approx. 80 x 12” strands of yarn for the tassels (for tassels that are approx. 5” long). To make the tassels shorter or longer, cut smaller or bigger strands.

Tips for cutting the strands:

Find an object that is 6” wide (a piece of cardboard, a notebook, etc). Wrap your yarn around the 6” object 80 times (or 2 x 40 times so the strands are easier to cut). Cut the yarn in half.

Attaching the Tassels:

A) Take four strands of yarn, fold them in half and with your hook, pull the folded ends through the stitch (which creates a loop).

B) Pull the ends through the loop.

C) Pull tight to make a knot.

Repeat for each tassel.

Trim the strands to make them all one length. I cut mine to be approx. 5”. You can use scissors or you can try this brilliant technique (pictured above) to get perfectly even ends.

And now you have a new men’s crochet scarf!

Expert tips:

1: Start with medium-weight yarn for ease of handling and quicker results.

2: A longer scarf allows for greater styling options, wrapped snugly around the neck or draped leisurely over one shoulder.

3: Make Sure about gauge while adjusting yarn types and hook sizes to maintain the desired size.

conclusion:

The best men’s crochet scarf patterns show a world of creativity that can elevate any wardrobe. These patterns always suit all skill levels and styles.Crochet scarves not only provide functional warmth but also groom the personality through color and texture.
